I love that you framed this off center. It
really gives this guy more attitude.

I enjoy the understated color in this photo
of a peacock, the minimalist field to the
left helps focus my atention and makes this
image a strong challenge to little boy red.

i have to agree with pixability, but it was a
tough choise! I think the crucial nicety was
the walker in the background of 'Little boy
red': i find it a little bit distracting and
without it i would like it more.

Any well taken and interesting street shots
tend to sway me more. However I was never
keen on the walking man at the right of this
shot. Its just the way it goes sometimes.
Would have been a perfect shot otherwise. Why
did you not wait for him to pass?
The challenger shot is appealing to and the
photographer has created a wonderfull image.
So it becomes very difficult as these shot
are so different. It really comes down to -
for me- which one I think I would return to
look at again more-so.
For me had has to be the defenders, that I
am personally more drawn too.

The unique composition and framing of the
peacock is really attractive....love the
blues and detail captured in the face - gives
it an almost cartoon like feel.

This is definitely a keeper. But I love the
human element of the challenged. It makes me
want to know more as to what the
circumstances were with the boy and why he is
all red.

I'm a sucker for a little bit of
oversaturation or overexposure, so I just
love both.
The 'simplicity' and the beautiful DOF of
the challenger make me vote for his.

I like the composition. I like the emphasis
on the splendid head, sharp and clear. I like
the intense blue on the front, and the
impressionist-alike mix of blue and green of
the peacock's tail.
