certaines personnes pourraient etre

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and for
your interest for this picture.
this one was so easy to take .on my way
back from my son's school I saw this street
vendor again.last time I tried to take a
picture with him in front of the wall but he
wouldn't let me ...
so this time I just ignored him took 3
shots and thet was it.He did not even see me.
fortunately the sun was not too strong.

image saisissante... quel incroyable

craintes. C'était en 1988.

Hi ed ed
thanks a lot for your comment and for
reminding me of this wonderful book I read so
many years ago when i lived in London and
when i didn't know that one day I will live
in Mexico.
I would love to read it again. now that i
know more about this country.

it is one of my all time favourites. i'm glad
you like it too. living in mexico would give
a different perspective, i imagine. perhaps
it's time i read it again too. i have never
been to mexico but the cohabitation of the
real and the symbolic or surreal is what
creates much of the atmosphere of the book,
if i remember well. the emblems of death on
the day of the dead: sugar skulls etc. and
the craziness of the world the consul enters
as he gets drunker and more desperate
magnifies all that. this photo of yours could
well have been one of the motifs..
( i hope your trip and visit goes well)

Breton came to mexico,he and his friends used
to find that Mexico was the land of
surrealism.
Time has passed but i guess a lot has
remained almost unchanged...
and yes these sugar skulls are so
surprising when you know nothing about Mexico
:-)
thanks
actually I hope I'll be able to visit a
good library in Portland and buy some books
as here we have almost no good bookshop.

things, suggesting croppings and things of
such kind, they were just a bit abused here.

oh about notes I have mixed feelings.
it depends on what you use flickr for and
what you think of your pictures and also it
depends on notes too.
here I don't know the person who added
these notes and i can't understand really
what he means.at the time I thought I'm going
to ask him what he meant and finally I
forgot.which must mean I didn't so much care
about knowing what he meant...
anyway i agree here they are of no use and
ruin the picture and I'm deleting them.
about notes being useful for cropping
suggestion.yes but only when I ask for.I used
to get cropping suggestion when I didn't ask
anything.
Personnaly I'm not uploading my pictures
here to get advice in cropping or editing.not
that I think I know everything but rather
because I don't want to use Flickr to get
advice in editing but rather to show my world
to anyone who is interested in sharing my
vision of my life here in south east Mexico.
when i need advice I know where to go to
ask some.
