Batch delete all tags from a single set

What is so hard about this??? It's not rocket science. Have someone write the query and call it a day. All this photo technology yet I cannot remove all the tags in a single set without doing it one at a time, or I have to remove the tag from all photos in my flickr universe...
What gives? I know we have some smart devs in here and this is functionality 101. If you can easily add it, you better be able to easily remove it.....

Do you mean tags OF the set (can you tag a set?) or the tags in the photos in that set?
Those photos aren't in your set, they're in your photostream. So you'd end up removing the tags from the photos everywhere, no matter what.

Colleen: I guess that's what I'm trying to get clarification on. If they're looking for a way to delete the tags from the photos in a set, and then expect the same photos in the photostream to retain their tags, then it's impossible, for obvious reasons (they're the same files.)
But I can select a set and batch edit tags, and it at least gives me a single window with the tags of each photo. It's pretty quick to select/delete down the list, assuming there's only a few dozen photos or so. Yes it takes a whole thirty seconds instead of instantaneous, but it's not exactly back-breaking.
