Please take time to read the original guidelines for this group:

Any photo, negative, or slide that is "found" either through flea markets, swap meets, garage sales, antique stores, etc. Tell us where you picked it up and if you know anything about its background. This group is not for personal photos (family and friends). Check out the group OLD PHOTOS which better fits that category.


Feb 22 2006 :There has recently been a little ill feeling generated about the ownership and provenance of some photographs posted on this group site.

Please make sure you have a legitimate claim to ownership of any image posted up here. It is against the principle of the purpose of this group to post up copies of images that have been electronically harvested from other sources, however interesting.

Please make sure that any photograph posted here has a description, however brief, about how you came about acquiring the image, why it interests you and any information you may have about it.

It should be without saying that you own or have recently owned the image as "hard copy" that you have posted up.

The intention is and was always to add interest to what is a peaceful and engaging pursuit-collecting interesting old images.

The Administrator may reluctantly have to remove images that do not follow these simple guidelines.
